The Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed rail line starts from Fuzhou in the north and ends at Xiamen and Zhangzhou in the south, with a total length of 277.42 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 8 Fuzhou South, Fuqing West, Putian, Quangang, Quanzhou East, Quanzhou South, Xiamen North, and Zhangzhou. station. The Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway is expected to be operational in the second half of 2023. After completion and opening to traffic, Fuzhou and Xiamen will realize a “one-hour living circle”, and Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou and southern Fujian “Golden Triangle” will form a “half-hour traffic circle”. As an important part of the coastal channel in China’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway network, the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed rail line has 85 bridges and 33 tunnels, and successively spans three bays: Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay and An Bay. At the same time, as an important extension of the Beijing-Fuzhou high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway will accelerate the integration of Fujian into the national high-speed railway network.
